About me: Sarah Yiannaki

I am an Accredited Play and Creative Arts Therapist, SandStory Therapist and PCAP Practitioner.

I am also an Adoption Specialist.

I am level 7 trained, which means I have completed a Postgraduate qualification over a number of years, to enable me to qualify as a Play and Creative Arts Therapist.

This is the level of training that is required to work safely and ethically as a Play and Creative Arts Therapist. Unfortunately there are people that may call themselves a Play Therapist without this level of training.

Over my working life I have held a number of roles with children and young people with varying levels of need. I am therefore very experienced in building relationships with children, young people, their parents and carers and other professionals in their life.

Throughout all the roles I have worked in with children and young people, I have always wanted to support their emotional and mental wellbeing and when I discovered Play Therapy, I knew that was what I wanted to do!

I am also a mum to two young children, so have an idea of some of the highs as well as the challenges that can be experienced when bringing up children!

I have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy with Play Therapy UK (PTUK) and can be found on their Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists

(playtherapyregister.org.uk)

I have an enhanced DBS Certificate and Professional Liability Insurance.
